Stranger

Last night technology

Got the best of me

Face glued to a screen

In the evening

Looking for love

Eyes bleeding

I pause I fight to breathe

Thick fog of fantasies

A history

Just like a dream

Birds flock together

I watch them fly away

They find their way

Eventually

Birds flock together

I’d like to do the same

Cuz this place can feel

So strange

Like it or not

I call you a savior

Before your love

I was but

A Stranger

On an alien planet

Far - Far from home

Stranger on An alien planet

But not alone

Swept away

On a river of metal and glass

Try to relax

Because I’m not turning back

Tried to make sense of

The turbulence

Lost my innocence

Searching for decadence

But you were heaven sent you were heaven sent

Crowded with energies

Born into a mystery

Always puzzled me

But here I am

In a strange land

Crowded with energies

technologies

A quick fix

On demand

I found my dopamine in a glowing screen

Looked for approval in your eyes

I worked both night and day

I slaved away

I took my medicine

And I slept through days

Do they know

What’s good for us

Do we know

How to stand up

Where nothing seems to make sense to me

The laws of Man I don’t understand

Spinning in a river of glass

Metal and rubber

Chariots that rage flying past

Paths of light in the darkness

Spinning in the glow of a screen

Searching for my dopamine

I know it must all

Have some kind of meaning

But sometimes

I feel like a stranger

On an alien planet

I’m a stranger

And I’m far from home

Stranger on an alien planet

I’m stranger but I’m not alone

Went searching for a tribe

Just to stay alive

Part of me is strong

Part of me is wise

But part of me falls head over heels

Just looking in your eyes

IM SO OVER IT

OVER IT

Pink waffles on a sunny day

Pink flowers in my shoes today

cheeks rosy cuz you smiled at me

I didn’t even hear a word you said

Lily Jane’s become a cyborg

Bit into an apple

And lost her way

All her friends

Are turning into cyborgs

Recording every moment while they play

They couldn’t live without the gadget

The dopamine addictive

They couldn’t fathom a life without them

Morning til night

It never ends

Little Thomas Jone’s become a cyborg

Information seeps into the system

Information sold into a bigger mind

How much do we give them

I’m ready to live a better life

They stress you out

And then they feed you substances

They wear you out

And then they ban the medicine

I was dumb and I fucked up some

I was young and I fucked up some

Tell me does that make me

A bad person

I had fun but I was so dumb

Give me a loving ruler

Give me a leader Not a lizard

Give me a human

And not a beast

Give me a leader

Give me a leader
